Giannis Antetokounmpo is someone who always puts extra effort into his craft. Every year, the 2x MVP comes out with a bang to reach new heights. However, when you compare a young version of the Greek Freak to how he looks now, the differences are incredible. He had one of the meanest looking glow-ups in the NBA. From being a lean and agile role player to a monster on both sides of the court, Giannis has come a long way.
The Milwaukee Bucks recently hosted a media day, the first official event since the blockbuster trade that took place last week. Giannis Antetokounmpo took the opportunity to detail the Bucks’ plans for the upcoming season. But fans couldn’t help but avoid the fact that Giannis looks extremely shredded. One fan said, “I know Giannis has always been buff… but man.” Another fan added to it saying, “Giannis has not always been buff. The difference is nuts.”

Antetokounmpo’s physique and strength contribute a lot to his game. This has allowed him to take hits and not face any sort of damage. It also helps him score within the paint at a high level. Giannis has improved every year consistently. Last season, he averaged a career-high 31.1 points per game along with 11.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists. He also shot 55.3% from the field to top it all off.
Giannis Antetokounmpo details what has to be done with Damian Lillard ahead of the 2023-24 Season
Last season, the Bucks concluded their run on a bitter note. Being eliminated by the eighth-seeded Miami Heat was a tough pill to swallow. Interestingly, Milwaukee beat the Heat in the Damian Lillard sweepstakes and acquired him via a three-team trade. Having Giannis Antetokounmpo and the 7x All-Star on the same roster will be a force to reckon with. The Bucks forward highlighted a few tasks to complete ahead of the 2023-24 season.
He said, “We’ve got to watch film together. Because you have to expedite our chemistry. We cannot just wait to play in training camp and then play in the first preseason game and figure things out. We’ve got to get in the film room and try to talk to one another and see how can we click and how to come together. But at the end of the day, I know we are both willing to kind of be ourselves… I need Dame to be Dame, and he needs me to be me.”
Unfortunately, Milwaukee had to give up Jrue Holiday to acquire Lillard. Holiday, a 2x All-Star was the Bucks’ strongest defensive anchor besides Giannis. While most experts and fans believe the Bucks may take a hit defensively, Damian claims his defense is one of the most overlooked parts of his game. Either way, confidence is key, and the Bucks have strong core regardless.
