The All-Star weekend concluded with some records intact and some broken by a large margin. While LeBron James managed to go 5-0, Stephen Curry destroyed Paul George’s record for most 3s in an all-star game.
The 2x MVP was very close to breaking Anthony Davis‘ record from 2017. He froze at 50 in the fourth quarter and LeBron James took over for a poetic end of the game in Cleveland. Curry received the first-ever revamped All-Star trophy named in honor of Kobe Bryant.
He was red hot throughout the game and the only reason why Team LeBron was so close at the end of the third quarter. This could finally bring him out of the terrible shooting slump he’s been in all of December and January.
Giannis Antetokounmpo reacts to Stephen Curry making 16 threes
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry have been all-star teammates since 2018. Curry revealed that he picked him first and the Greek Freak returned the favor the following year. LeGM has been successful in drafting them for the past two years as well.
Their on-court chemistry gave everyone chills in 2019 and left fans wondering what the duo might achieve if they team up for real. After the game today Antetokounmpo was hyped as Curry set the record with 16 threes.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar set a record himself last year going 100% from the field and winning the all-star game MVP.
Utah’s Donovan Mitchell reacted to the crazy feat on Twitter along with several other NBA stars like Robert Covington and Seth Curry. Allen Iverson went so far as to say he got NBA League Pass only because of Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry single-handedly saved the all-star game this season with his streaky performance. The game started on low energy with little to no defense. But towards the end, several players were being doubled and the pace picked up.
Warriors fans can only hope that this translates to the remaining games after the all-star break so that Golden State can retake the #1 spot from Phoenix Suns in the west.
