One X user said, “Stop begging Bron he ain’t saving you.” Another fan added, “D-lo is still on ur team btw.” Due to unfortunate circumstances, the Los Angeles Lakers failed to make it past the Denver Nuggets in the first round. Irving and James have always expressed their desire to reunite at some point as well. LeBron holds a 39-13 record with Irving in the post-season while achieving a 26-19 run with Anthony Davis.
The Lakers are expected to make major changes around LeBron James
In an exclusive interview with Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports, Kyrie Irving addressed last year’s rumors of him reuniting with LeBron James. He said, “Everything was considered. He’s a great friend of mine, a great brother of mine. We obviously played together [in Cleveland]. Everybody knows our history. But there were so many different factors in between. When it comes to business decisions, you have to ask the GMs, the presidents why certain things didn’t work out.”
Irving was also dealing with the Mavericks, who eventually offered him a three-year extension worth $120 million including a 2025-26 season player option. This was something the Lakers couldn’t match during the off-season no matter how desperate they were to find another piece for the duo. However, the Lakers have found themselves in a tough off-season once again.
Lakers Part Ways With Head Coach Darvin Ham pic.twitter.com/or3Bx2mZ5w

LA recently fired Darvin Ham after two seasons of coaching them. Fluctuating rotations, lack of adjustments and proper execution of game plans, and simply not coaching the team well led to his dismissal. While they’re on the hunt for a new coach, they also might lose D’Angelo Russell if he chooses to opt out of his 2024-25 season player option. Thus, opening up a spot for a new primary point guard on the roster.
