Bronny James is one of the most popular high school players and put on a show at the McDonald’s All-American Game. It’s been exactly 2 decades since his father LeBron James participated in the same tournament. However, taking nothing away from Bronny, his father set the stage on fire when he performed. Bronny won the McDonald’s All-American Dunk Contest 2 decades after his father won the award in 2003.
It’s fair to say Bronny is following his father’s footsteps and charting his way toward the goal of playing in the NBA. Nonetheless, he has a long way to go and develop further. Bronny finished on the losing side in the All-American game, and there is concern about his selection for the game. The whole world knows who his father is, and some fans believe, “he did not earn his spot,” and that Bronny is a product of “Nepotism.”
Not fair that a kid got his spot taken for Bronny James simply because of who his father is. He did not earn this spot.

As Bronny decides to follow the same path his father took, he needs to be ready to accept all the criticism that comes with it. King James already faced pressure and criticism as he came into the league, and backed it up with his performances. However, Bronny has still a long way to go, and being LeBron’s son will benefit him, but it also adds the burden to live up to the name.
Bronny has been accused of using his father’s influence to gain popularity. Bronny became a 5-star recruit overnight when his father tweeted about him being better than other players. Nonetheless, let’s not forget the fact that Bronny is not yet in college and has some years to develop his game. King James came into the league with high expectations and was already a pro-level athlete.
Which college has Bronny James decided to attend?
The next step for Bronny is to attend college and further develop his skills, playing at a much more competitive level. There are several college offers on the table for Bronny, however, 3 colleges are Bronny’s top priority, Ohio State, USC, and Oregon, according to the Los Angeles Times. He hasn’t finalized his decision on which college to attend. Last year he posted a photo of himself in Ohio State’s outfit on Instagram.

After becoming a 5-star recruit, Bronny can play for any college he prefers. The King has shown interest in his selections and prefers he attends Oregon. Bronny will soon make a decision and there is where he will have a chance to further his game forward before he gets drafted in the NBA.
