Bronny James is one of the nation’s top prospects this year. Ever since LeBron James introduced his older son to basketball, Bronny has been a prodigal talent. He is a four-star prospect and is not far from being in the top 30 ranking in the United States. With that said, where James Jr. is going to pursue his college education has been a huge question mark. This is not all that surprising considering his popularity, being King James’ son, but also displaying phenomenal levels of talent in the last few months.
The young sensation currently plays for Sierra Canyon, alongside his brother Bryce James who is just 15 years old as of January 2023. Both the James brothers are extremely talented and have a winning mentality just like their dad. Speaking of LeBron, the LA Lakers star had his say on Bronny’s college future recently.
LeBron James believes the Oregon Ducks might be a suitable option for Bronny James
According to Oregon Live, King James mentioned that the Oregon Ducks head coach Dana Altman recognizes his son’s abilities and that there is interest from both sides. LeBron also said, “I think Bronny can go to any college he wants to. All I have to do is pick up the phone. f Bronny says he wants to go there, he’s good enough.”

Bronny has reportedly received offers from multiple colleges but has only had his eyes on a few. As sources mention, King James’ son has received offers from Memphis, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, UCLA, and UConn among other colleges. One might wonder how the Oregon Ducks have not sent an offer in Bronny’s way despite being confirmed to be interested in acquiring his services by LeBron.
Just like his father, Bronny has a winning mindset too, as LeBron mentioned. The 4x NBA champ believes that his son is smart enough to prioritize winning and becoming a pro basketball player. This means that he will aim to end up in the NBA ultimately. James has expressed his desire to play alongside his son on numerous occasions, so much so that the NBA world believes that it might happen as well.
If Bronny decides to enter the NBA, he will only be eligible for the draft in 2024. LeBron would be 40 years old at that point. However, considering the jaw-dropping longevity James has displayed over the last 20 years, there is no harm in us expecting him to line up for an NBA game with his son Bronny.
