The NBA All-Star Game 2023 came to a wrap when Team Giannis took the win over Team LeBron recently. Damian Lillard managed to net the game-winner towards the end to help Giannis Antetokounmpo finally beat King James. However, many expressed their disappointment with Giannis’ availability after he was forced to leave the game early.
For those who don’t know, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar aggravated his wrist injury and had to leave the game after scoring just two points. This happened in the first few minutes of the All-Star Game. The Greek Freak managed to put down a dunk, which made his wrist injury worse. Bam Adebayo set foot on the court to replace Giannis after the latter committed a foul.
When will Giannis Antetokounmpo return from injury?
Multiple sources mentioned that Antetokounmpo traveled to New York on Monday for medical tests. It was later revealed that he suffered a sprained ligament in his right wrist. Reports claim that Giannis will miss a few games but the duration he will spend on the sidelines is not known.

The Bucks are on a 12-game winning streak in the league right now. They will play against the Miami Heat on February 24. Although Giannis is most likely to miss a number of games, it does not look like a huge injury. We can expect him to be back to regular action in the coming weeks. However, the absence of a player of Giannis’ caliber will be a huge blow to any team, and it’ll be the same for the Bucks as well.
The Bucks will be aiming to continue their winning form and make sure they do not tarnish their record right now. Up until this point, the franchise has won 40 games and only lost 17 games. It is no doubt that they are one of the contenders for this season.
Giannis has been averaging a double-double, with 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. His absence will be a huge blow, but the Bucks have enough talent to overcome their next two opponents; the Heat and the Phoenix Suns possibly without Kevin Durant.
