NBA fans aren’t taking too kindly towards the most recent acquisition made by the Milwaukee Bucks. As almost all fans should be aware, the Bucks are home to 2x MVP and NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo. After having been drafted into the team all the way back in 2013, the Greek Freak finally managed to win a title with the Bucks in 2021.
Those who follow Giannis on social media or have any knowledge of his personal life will know that he comes from a family of basketball players. In fact, his brother Thanisis is on the Bucks’ roster and appears to be a source of motivation for the Greek Freak.

Since Thaniss has yet to prove himself as a solid NBA player, many fans were confused as to why the Bucks even decided to bring him on. Those same fans are now shocked to find out that the Bucks have signed on another Antetokounmpo brother. With that being said, let us take a closer look at the situation and find out more.
NBA fans opine that Giannis Antetokounmpo leveraged adding Alex to the Milwaukee Bucks
In an interesting turn of events, the Bucks have signed on Alex Antetokounmpo. By doing so, they have ensured that all 4 Anteotkounmpo brothers are now in the NBA. Some fans could be aware that Kostas Antetokounmpo last played with the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, Alex has joined the Bucks and will be teammates with his 2 brothers.

While there is no way to know if Alex deserves a spot on the roster, NBA fans certainly don’t seem to think so. Many of them feel that this is nothing more than the practice of Nepotism, “Everything is wrong with this. Nepotism.”
Everything is wrong with this. Nepotism.

To those who might be unaware of the term, Nepotism is when people in power offer the same to their family over others who could deserve the same. Although this could be quite close to the truth in this case, some fans are defending the Bucks star by claiming that he is doing nothing wrong by taking care of his family.
Giannis taking care of his brothers, don’t see nothing wrong with it …

In any case, we really have no way of knowing if this was a good move by the Bucks. If Alex isn’t able to keep up and help the team, this decision will have failed. On the other hand, if the presence of two brothers cheering him on motivates Giannis to play at a higher level, this might be a smart move by the Bucks. It also ensures that Anteotkounmpo has greater motivation to remain with the team in the future.
