Joseph Vincent Flacco, also known as Joe Flacco, is a quarterback who plays for the National Football League (NFL) team, the Cleveland Browns. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team (University of Pittsburgh) and the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens football team (University of Delaware). Flacco was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in round one of the 2008 NFL Draft as the eighteenth overall pick.
Joe Flacco started out his college career by playing for the Pittsburgh Panthers. However, he was in action for them in only three games before switching over to Delaware. He was selected for the first-team All-CAA team and was also named the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2007. Furthermore, he was awarded the ECAC Player of the Year in the same year.
Joe Flacco has played for several top NFL teams, which include the likes of the New York Jets, the Denver Broncos, and the Philadelphia Eagles. However, he has spent the most amount of time playing for the Baltimore Ravens (11 seasons). His time at the Cleveland Browns was filled with high points, which included both personal and team accolades.
Flacco won the Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers as well as the Super Bowl XLVII MVP. He has great numbers too and has recorded 3,930 passes out of 6388 pass attempts for 42,885 passing yards, for a passer rating of 61.5. They dated for some years before Joe Flacco decided to propose to Dana Grady, and the two tied the knot on June 25, 2011. Joe Flacco and Dana Grady are proud parents of five beautiful children—four sons and one daughter. They welcomed their first child, Stephen Flacco, in June 2012 and their second in September of the following year. Their only daughter, Evelyn, was born in January 2015.
Joe Flacco is deeply devoted to his wife and has made sacrifices in his football career to support their marriage. In 2014, Joe Flacco was named as an alternate option for the Pro Bowl game. However, Dana Grady was pregnant at the time with their child, and hence Flacco refused that opportunity to support her. This just goes to show how much of a family man Joe Flacco is.
