- Guenther Steiner joins McLaren's Zak Brown to heap praise on Lewis Hamilton.
- Steiner opined that F1 needs a supremely talented driver like Hamilton.
When it comes down to talking about one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1, none other than, Lewis Hamilton stands first in line. However, as the 2024 season comes closer and with yet another season to try his luck with winning the 8th record-breaking title, the driver has now received support from the ex-Haas principal to rely on.
Until now, Hamilton has been the center of attention on multiple occasions mainly for his seven championship titles and 103 race wins. Apart from his achievements in F1, the driver has also managed to build a socialite figure for himself in terms of fashion and his businesses. Nevertheless, the only thing eating off on him is his failed attempt to win his 8th title.
While the Briton plans to focus on his 2024 season, it seems not everyone may be against him after all. Although he will have a tough challenge from Red Bull throughout the season, he only has his team to rely on. But with the Haas ex-team principal on his side, Hamilton has more on stake to prove himself right.
Lewis Hamilton gets support from ex-Haas principal
While Lewis Hamilton has stuck with the sport for a long time and won seven championships, the driver has had questions surrounding his retirement surface since the 2021 season. However, the champion wishes to continue to drive in F1 for a long time.
After having a tough time making his way to F1 and becoming a subject of racial abuse, he made his path in the sport and helped bring more recognition to the sport. He has also started his very own Mission 44 to help bring diversity to the many aspects of the sport. However, his retirement after the failed 2021 season is all that has surrounded the driver.
But the ex-principal of Haas, Guenther Steiner believes in Hamilton and his talent that attracts major success for him and in winning his 8th title. He said,
“I don’t think Lewis will stop racing anytime soon. Looking at him physically you wouldn’t think so never that he is 38 years old, or 39 as he will be at the beginning of 2024. He is very fit and I don’t think he is ready to stop racing, he loves what he does, he has won seven titles, and is still motivated. He is a very important driver for Formula 1.”
With trust in Hamilton and hoping he finally succeeds in beating Red Bull and Max Verstappen, he believes the Briton will not be leaving the sport anytime soon.
Hamilton extends a friendly hand to Max Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen’s rivalry has been one for the books. After the 2021 season, things were not the same for Hamilton who watched his 8th title being “stolen” from him right before he could reach it. Fortunately, the rivalry on tracks has in no way harmed their bond off-track and outside the sport.

When asked about their rivalry, Verstappen said, “I don’t need that kind of rivalry. Of course, we want to beat each other, but honestly, once we’re in a private setting it’s like just normal guys.”
Considering the way things went down for the Briton, from being the world champion to getting dethroned in no time with no race wins after, the driver has made up his mind to win his 8th title before he parts ways from the sport.
