Jimmy Donaldson, famously known as MrBeast, is being sued by the operator of his virtual restaurant chain, Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC), a ghost kitchen company. VDC operates MrBeast Burger which was launched in December 2020 in the USA. It expanded to over 1700 global locations by the end of 2022. However, there were discrepancies between Jimmy and VDC which has now culminated in a $100 million lawsuit against the YouTube star.
Last week, MrBeast sued VDC and wanted to terminate their partnership. In his lawsuit, Jimmy claimed that VDC served burgers that were called “disgusting,” “revolting” and “inedible” and damaged his reputation.
Last week, VDC shot back at MrBeast. VDC called the YouTuber’s lawsuit “meritless” and “ill-advised.” They accused Jimmy of bullying them and trying to use his fame as his power.
VDC filed its lawsuit on Monday morning in the Supreme Court of the State of New York. According to Variety, VDC’s suit claims that “Donaldson’s breaches of the parties’ agreements and interference with business dealings have damaged the reputation of MrBeast Burger and VDC.”

This has in turn created an environment that has ruined relationships with customers and suppliers. The lawsuit also claims that MrBeast failed to publicly support the brand and did not fulfill his contractual obligations related to promotions. Instead, MrBeast made “disparaging comments” about MrBeast Burgers and VDC.
VDC’s lawsuit also contains tweets from Jimmy, many of which are now deleted, where he defamed the deal. He reiterated the fact that he made the mistake of signing this deal when he was young. He also openly claimed that he would like to close the brand.
All-in-all according to VDC, Jimmy has used his platform to defame his own brand instead of promoting it. This has resulted in a huge financial loss for VDC.
VDC accused MrBeast of using “bullying tactics”
In the lawsuit filed by the 25-year-old YouTuber, he claimed that VDC received his complaints about low-quality burgers. However, it “fell on deaf ears.” MrBeast claimed VDC damaged his reputation.

VDC labeled Donaldson’s lawsuit “meritless” and “riddled with false statements,” according to the BBC.
“We had hoped Mr. Donaldson would act honorably,” VDC further claimed. “Instead, having elevated greed over his word and the truth, he will face the consequences in court when VDC files its claims against him.”
The company, which was co-founded by former Planet Hollywood executive Robert Earl, also claimed it had been bullied by Donaldson.
“When VDC refused to accede to his bullying tactics to give up more of the company to him, he filed this ill-advised and meritless lawsuit seeking to undermine the MrBeast Burger brand and terminate his existing contractual obligations without cause.”
