Ben Shapiro openly warned MrBeast that Chris Tyson going through HRT is going to be a downfall moment for his channel. Shapiro stated that people might not want to watch Tyson on MrBeasts’s channel after the announcements he made about his life.
Tyson revealed on April 6, 2023, that he is going through Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). He even advocated the use of it. However, Tyson received a lot of backlash because this had put his wife Katie Tyson, and son Tucker in an uncalled-for situation. But, Tyson also received support from his fans. He received open support from his friend MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson.
On the other hand, political commentator Shapiro was not impressed with what was happening. In a 13-minute long video, Shapiro explained why this whole situation will call for the end of MrBeast’s popularity. He said, “Well, I do not feel as though my kids should be exposed to a man who believes that he is a woman on YouTube. Until they are of age to understand exactly what is going on. A lot of other parents are going to have that same exact question.”

Shapiro’s warnings, however, have turned out to be a failure. It seems like MrBeast’s YouTube channel is destined for bigger things. On April 6, 2023, when Chris Tyson made his announcement about HRT on Twitter, MrBeast’s channel had recently touched 141 million subscribers. At the time of writing this, MrBeast’s YouTube channel has gained 7 million subscribers. As of April 25, 2023, the channel boasts over 148 million subscribers.

Once you make a difficult choice in your life, you expect your friends to support you. That is exactly what Jimmy and Karl Jacobs did for Chris Tyson. They openly showed their support for Chris, who was getting bullied for his transition. However, Shapiro believed Jimmy made the ‘woke’ choice and he could not have chosen otherwise.
He said, “You can see that in the number of dislikes that have been racking up on MrBeast’s YouTube page. So MrBeast had to make the choice until the choice that he chose is, of course, the woke choice. He tweeted out, ‘yeah this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my nightmare he’s my friend and things are fine all this transphobia is starting to piss me off.’”
Shapiro even pointed out the increasing number of dislikes on MrBeast’s YouTube videos after Chris’s revelation. However, as seen with the subscribers count, there is no stopping to MrBeast’s channel. Jimmy’s channel is the fourth-most subscribed channel on YouTube. It is also the most-subscribed channel that is not owned by a brand or a company.
