After receiving over 2,000 reviews from players, Minecraft Legends is presently rated as “Mixed” on Steam. It appears that the game hasn’t exactly taken off like previous Minecraft IPs. Additionally, reviews weren’t too enthusiastic about the title. As of right now, the game has an average rating of 71 on the Xbox Series and 65 on the PC according to Metacritic. It is also currently rated 70% on OpenCritic.
Minecraft Legends will not get additional content
Mojang Studios has declared that Minecraft Legends will no longer get official support. The new “final” Lost Legends update, Snow vs. Snouts, has also been discussed in length by senior creative writer Cristina Anderca in an article on the official Minecraft website.
However, she goes into more depth about what will happen to Minecraft Legends later on in the post, saying that the Blackbird Interactive team will be taking “a step back from development.” This implies that there won’t be any more Marketplace DLCs or updates for Lost Legend. Nonetheless, the game will continue to work as intended.
That hasn’t prevented Anderca from appreciating the community’s support since the game’s release, though. She added, “Our community has always helped us shape our games and that’s something we value greatly, especially when launching a completely new game.”

The developer will continue to provide players with all current features, such as PvP and cooperative play, even if it will no longer be adding new content. Additionally, Mojang has revealed that players will be able to access all of the Lost Legends challenges for free.
Furthermore, Mojang will continue to provide technical support and sustain Minecraft Legends servers in order to guarantee that players may fully enjoy the game even when active development has ceased.
With the last update, Snow vs. Snouts, players can now destroy piglin bases by using a more potent redstone launcher. And that’s all the players can do. There are no building options, no mobs, nothing. Thus, it differs slightly from previous Lost Legend variants.
