The role-playing game Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, created by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, will be released by Sega on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. This is the ninth main chapter in the Like a Dragon series and a straight follow-up to Like a Dragon (2020) and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023), the spin-off series.
Infinite Wealth is set in Hawaii, the franchise’s first foreign location, along with well-known Japanese locales. It stars Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Kazuma Kiryu, the original protagonist of the series. While the latter fights cancer, Kasuga and Kiryu band together with both old and new allies to assist the former in finding and reuniting with his mother in Hawaii.
A number of the minigames from earlier editions are back, including Virtua Fighter 3tb, Sega Bass Fishing, and SpikeOut, as well as minigames like Karaoke, Darts, and Mahjong. The global premiere of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is scheduled for January 26, 2024.
