JackSepticEye, born Seán William McLoughlin, is an Irish YouTuber who has been a staple on the platform since 2007. With over 27 million subscribers, he’s not just another content creator; he’s a brand. He is known for his energetic personality and Irish charm.
JackSepticEye has diversified his content, moving from the Let’s Play series to vlogs, comedic sketches, and even voice acting in video games like “Subnautica: Below Zero.”

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is an American YouTuber who has taken the platform by storm since his debut. With over 73 million subscribers, he’s a phenomenon in his own right.
Unlike many YouTubers who focus on a single niche, MrBeast is a jack-of-all-trades, master of all. From philanthropic stunts like planting 20 million trees to hosting real-life “Squid Game” challenges, he’s redefined what it means to be a content creator.
His videos have entertained millions and inspired a new generation of philanthropists. Mr. Beast has built water wells in Africa and other life-changing charitable acts. These efforts have changed the course of life for some. He also recently wants to turn Beast Games into a whole game show.
JackSepticEye thinks MrBeast ruined YouTube.
Recently, JackSepticEye was featured in a video where he was strapped to a lie detector. When asked if he liked MrBeast, he responded with a firm “No.” Then he was asked, “Do you think MrBeast ruined YouTube?” JackSepticEye responded, “Yes because it became more about money and popularity than having fun.”
Further, he elaborated, saying, “If he had fun doing those videos, they would be longer.”

MrBeast didn’t take these comments lightly. He took to Twitter to defend himself, stating:
“Sooo, I ‘ruined YouTube’ because I didn’t buy a mansion and sports cars and instead reinvested my money into making content/ focused on doing good and inspiring kids to help people? ‘If he had fun the videos would be longer’ what does that even mean lol. You think I’d give up every hour of my life for 14 years if I didn’t have fun? This clip is insanely disrespectful imo and obviously there is so much I could say about his content but I’ll just take the punches and be the bigger man. Sigh.”
JackSepticEye’s comments touch on a broader discussion about the commercialization of YouTube. On the other hand, MrBeast’s philanthropic efforts and unique content have undeniably added value to the platform.

While it’s true that the landscape of YouTube has changed, perhaps becoming more commercialized. MrBeast has used this to his advantage to do good on a large scale. He has opened free car dealerships and free banks and even tipped an entire house to a pizza delivery man in need.
His philanthropic projects are funded through views from his Beast Philanthropy YouTube channel, allowing him to feed those in need from his own food bank. He’s also helped survivors of Hurricane Ida, partnering with World Central Kitchen to cook thousands of meals.
