Amidst all the hype and excitement around Rockstar’s GTA 6, the developers are secretly rolling out the GTA Online December Update 2023. After opening the pre-load option in the game, the developers have finally launched the upcoming DLC patch.
The update to GTA’s 10-year-old title comes just a week after the series crashed the internet with the much-awaited GTA 6 trailer. The trailer has already broken multiple records within hours of its release and has kept the community talking about it.
A reliable leaker Tez2 had earlier revealed that Rockstar Games allowed PS5 players to download the December update in advance, thus leading to the possibility of the DLC rolling out on December 12, 2023. Towards the end of November, Rockstar published a blog listing some of the content coming with the update.
However, the developer ended up releasing the update earlier than expected. The new DLC is called ‘The Chop Shop.’
GTA Online December Update size
As leaked earlier by leaker Tez2, the download size of The Chop-Shop on PS5 is around 6GB in size. To be precise, 6.2 GB on PS5. On the other hand, the update clocks up to 13.3 GB on Xbox Series X.
The update was released on December 12, 2023. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games is also expected to officially announce the GTA 5 winter update 2023 release date soon.
GTA Online The Chop-Shop features
The blog shared by Rockstar listed down new additions like a new type of race, named the Drift Races, modifications to existing cars, a 100-vehicle garage called ‘The Vinewood Club Garage,’ wildlife in free mode, and an improved interactive menu. The blog ended with Rockstar hinting at more probably additions to GTA Online that would be revealed in due course.
