After CD Projekt Red released a brand new DLC Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty a few months back, the developer has no plans of slowing down. It is back with a new release set for the last month of 2023. CDPR has launched a new Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition.
When Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020, it was full of glitches and bugs that were so extreme that Sony took the serious decision to delist Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. CDPR’s VP of PR and communication, Michał Platkow-Gilewski, went on to say it actually became “a cool thing not to like it” after its release.
However, the devs took the fan opinion seriously and brought in a massive turnaround in fan opinion. The studio came back this year with a bumper 2.0 patch and the Phantom Liberty DLC.
Cyberuk 2077’s redemption arc took quite a while to arrive. Quest director Paweł Sasko noted, “In a way if you fail, the only thing that matters is how you’ll be remembered afterward. Will you just get up and keep going? We kept going, and we managed to make it and I’m honestly so proud of this team and community.”
The new update reworked the police system, introduced skill trees, new abilities, popped in some vehicle combat, and a lot more.
