Most of the fans were not happy with the fact that the late Bray Wyatt was not featured on the cover of any of the three editions. Fans were also seen questioning if Cody Rhodes was the right pick when the Triple-H-led promotion had so many options.
Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair comment after featuring on WWE 2K24
WWE released a video on their official YouTube channel where Triple H surprised the three superstars as he told them they would feature as cover superstars on the 2K24 game. This instantly raised the spirits of all three superstars, and all of them were seen as happy.
They further shared their comments on it, where Cody Rhodes said, “This was a Goal, it’s like a bucket list item.” He further explained that he felt blessed and excited as a gamer and said that he played lots of games. He then jokingly remarked on how he could have still called himself a gamer even if he hadn’t been one, as he was on the box of a game.
Bianca Belair was also very surprised, and she couldn’t control her excitement. Belair said, I was just talking to my husband about goals in WWE, and I was like, I wanna be on the cover of the video game, 2K video game, no lie. My brother’s gonna go crazy.” She further explained how her brother had been playing this game since she was little, and now he will have to buy it with her on the cover.
Rhea Ripley was also really excited to know about this and was glad that she was on it with Bianca. She said, It being the first time that women have shared this cover, it’s just so insane. It’s so cool. It’s something that’s gonna live forever, you know? That’s all we try and do in this business. We try and leave a legacy behind”. She felt really happy with it.
It will be interesting to see what plans WWE has for these three superstars in WrestleMania 40 and if Cody will finally finish his story.
