Straight Shot LTM in Apex Legends
Reports suggest the LTM is called Straight Shot and it is a shorter and faster version of the game’s current game mode. Notably, the developers at Respawn have not confirmed much about the upcoming LTM in Season 20 including its launch date and duration. However, given that Three Strikes’ third run is soon ending and Season 20 is beginning on February 13, players may get their hands on the new lightning-fast game mode on day one itself.
Straight Shot mode features 30 players in a lobby with 10 squads. This is significantly different from the usual 60 players in 20 squads. All the teams are by default sent to a predetermined location in a smaller ring. This allows for faster battles and shorter match times.
Interestingly, all weapons in Straight Shot mode are fully equipped such as Care Package weapons, with no attachments occurring on the ground. This helps reduce the time required to loot and encourages the squads to fight faster.
Straight Shot is also believed to offer an entirely new feature apex. This is the ability to quickly queue for another round of LTM. This means after getting beaten, the eliminated squad can view the perspective of their killers while waiting for the next lobby to fill instead of being returned to the main menu. This will greatly help in a seamless transition from game to game.
