The release of Insomniac’s much-awaited Marvel’s Spiderman 2 is around the corner. The title’s director, Ryan Smith, has revealed that the story of Spiderman 2 will have almost the same length as the first part of the game.
It has been revealed that the main goal of Spiderman 2 will be to deliver a good and memorable story. The average playthrough time of the game for completing the main story and some side quests will be around 25 hours. For gamers looking to finish every single side quest along with the story, it won’t take more than 40 hours.
In an interview with Push Square on September 15, Ryan Smith said, “Spider-Man 2 is in the same ballpark as the first game in terms of overall playtime. We really thought about how to make each of the moments a little more epic, or a little deeper, or a little more story-integrated.”

He further added, “We don’t want this to be an 80-100 hour game, that’s not where we want to be. We want to tell amazing stories, the best we can. We want to make every mission really, really memorable.”

Players will be able to experience the symbiote’s sensitivity to sound through controller vibration, thanks to the improved VRR support. However, the most intriguing part of the game will be the storyline, featuring Kraven the Hunter and Venom as the main villains.
Marvel’s Spiderman 2 will be released for PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. The standard edition of the game can be pre-ordered for $69.99 USD, while those looking for the deluxe version will have to shell out $79.99 USD.
