Recently, a completely new weapons bug was discovered by the players in Bungie’s Destiny 2. The Glitch allows players to combine two different crafter weapons in one, allowing them to use the traits, perks, and two different bullet types. Therefore, it seems like “Funny Guns” is an apt moniker for this glitch.
Even though the glitch has existed since the beginning of the Season of The Witch, it became popular just this week. Bungie has now taken action and stopped players from being able to equip all crafted weapons for 24 hours. A server-side update is currently underway during which players will be able to craft new weapons but not equip them.
The Funny Glitch Guns have resulted in players crafting some really creative combinations. Want a weapon that can fire 12 grenades at once? Combine a shotgun and a grenade launcher. Some players even managed to craft incredibly fast assault rifles that fire bullets they are not even supposed to be capable of using.
We’re aware of an issue that allows specific weapon perks to be crafted into other legendary weapons and are investigating a fix, which will result in these weapons being reset in the future.
We currently don’t have any plans to disable Trials of Osiris due to this issue.

The first update to fix the glitch is currently underway. However, a second update will launched at an unspecified date to restore the funny guns back to their regular state.
Will using the Funny Guns glitch get you banned?
Surprisingly, Destiny 2 has no plans to ban players who take advantage of the Funny Guns glitch. In fact, they told players to have fun with these weapons until the bug was fixed.
Bungie gave out a statement saying, “We’re exploring all potential solutions and keeping an eye out in case things get TOO wild and we need to take drastic measures to ensure the health of the game. In the meantime, let’s all have some fun! Igneous Hammer will come back to Trials ASAP.”
This is in line with their well-known tradition of not punishing players for exploiting glitches and bugs present in the game. Bungie has decided that since this is a bug, this will not get players any repercussions whether they use it in PVE, Crucible or even the Trials of Osiris.
