In one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Deontay Wilder will make his return against the WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
After a devastating loss in the rematch, Deontay Wilder will be looking to regain his world title at the T-Mobile Arena this Saturday.
Following the loss, Deontay Wilder made a bizarre statement about his walkout costume and blamed the costume being too heavy for his performance in the rematch.
In one of the interviews, Deontay Wilder stated: “He didn’t hurt me at all, but the simple fact is my uniform was way too heavy for me. I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight. In the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through.”
“I was only able to put it on [for the first time] the night before, but I didn’t think it was going to be that heavy. It weighed 40, 40-some pounds with the helmet and all the batteries.”
Deontay Wilder chooses a similar walkout costume for the Tyson Fury trilogy
Well, after so many controversies and debates around his walkout costume, many fans would have expected Wilder’s walkout costume to be very light for the trilogy.
But, Deontay Wilder has something big planned for his walkout. Recently, Wilder revealed his ring walkout costume in a photoshoot and it’s very similar to his costume from the second fight.
It is safe to say that this is the final opportunity for Wilder to avenge his loss against Fury and get back his WBC heavyweight title. If Fury wins on Saturday then he will move on from his rivalry with Wilder and focus on unifying the titles by fighting Usyk or Joshua.
But, the fans of the Bronze Bomber are certainly concerned after the big reveal of Wilder’s new walkout costume.
What do you think about Deontay Wilder’s new walkout costume? Will it have an impact on the outcome of this trilogy?
