Former kickboxing champion Andrew Tate just keeps on making the headlines despite his imprisonment. On December 29, Top G was apprehended from his Romanian compound alongside his brother Tristan Tate and two other accomplices. From the last days of 2022 to the first quarter of 2023, Tate has spent nearly 90 days in prison.
The DIICOT (Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism) started investigating Tate in April 2022. The investigation agency interrogated both Andrew and Tristian in April of last year after two women were reportedly rescued from Tate’s Romanian compound. However, later some reports seemed to suggest that the women allegedly framed Andrew.

But since his arrest, Andrew has written letters to his fans regarding how horrible the living conditions are in the Romanian jail. On top of that, Tate’s health condition has also been a topic of discussion in the fanbase. After the initial reports of his developing a lung nodule, some concerning reports suggested that Tate may have had lung cancer. Fortunately for his fans, Tate’s team later dismissed the reports.
Whether he has cancer or not, one thing Andrew Tate just can not seem to secure is his release from prison. Although his stay in detention is set to touch 90 days, several of Tate’s bail pleas have been denied. After his most recent rejection, Tate’s lawyers called the decision “illegal.” Now, there are some reports going around that seem to reveal the latest reason for his bail denial.
Andrew Tate reportedly broke jail rules to seek help from friends
Every topic related to Andrew Tate has been very controversial since his apprehension. Although Tate claims that Romanian jail authorities are not allowing him any visitors, Tate was allowed 5 visitors in prison aside from his legal representatives. It looks like Tate is also allowed phone calls from the prison too. But, according to some research done by YouTuber Braso, Tate broke a very important jail rule.
Apparently, Spynews is reporting that Andrew Tate had a phone call with some people who turned it into a conference call. That is where the objection lies, as Andrew is not allowed to speak to people outside the permitted list. Allegedly, during the conference call, Tate spoke to some of his multi-millionaire friends and asked them for their help in securing his bail.

It appears that the phone call and Tate breaking the law is why Tate may spend upwards of 180 days in detention. The news definitely comes as a shock to his fans who wanted to see their hero released from captivity. However, neither Andrew nor Tristan has had any luck in turning his prison stay into home arrest. Andrew Tate and his fans will have to wait patiently to see where the case ultimately leads them.
