AEW star MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) have shown his dissatisfaction working in the company. Him and AEW President Tony Khan have had a few issues in the past few months. He recently no-showed at the AEW Double or Nothing Fan Fest Meet & Greet. The issues between MJF and Tony Khan have seem to have escalated.
It appears the situation with Samoa Joe and the Fan Fest was a communication issue, so totally different from whatever is happening with MJF, who did no-show.

This week on Dynamite, MJF dropped a massive pipe bomb on Tony Khan in a supposed ‘worked shoot’ promo. He vehemently attacked Tony Khan while discussing the events that transpired at AEW Double or Nothing.
MJF attacked Tony Khan in a promo on Dynamite
This week’s Dynamite saw MJF address the fans in a promo segment. He started by talking about his loss to Wardlow and expressed his misery after losing the ‘squash match.’ But the 26-year-old wrestler attacked AEW President Tony Khan. He pointed out that Khan wanted to schedule a meeting with him, but it was too late for MJF’s consideration.

MJF claimed that he had some great memorable moments in the company’s short history but felt like he wasn’t respected enough. He added that the company’s rise in ratings happened because of him. MJF ranted about Ex-WWE guys getting better treatment than him. At last, he ended the promo by screaming at the camera and calling Khan a “f****** mark” before the mic was cut off. AEW has avoided mentioning anything about the promo on their social media handles.
MJF angry with Tony Khan’s recent AEW signings
MJF has been pretty open about his contract situation in AEW. He even claimed that there would be a ‘bidding war’ in 2024 after his contract expires. He has demanded a new contract but to no avail. Being an AEW original, he has shown his dissatisfaction with ex-WWE stars for making an absurd amount of money. He took a massive dig at them on Barstool Rasslin’ by talking about their inability to boost ratings.

Tony Khan has been signing a lot of former major WWE stars in AEW over the last year or so. He signed wrestlers like CM Punk and Jeff Hardy in an attempt to boost the star power of the roster. Tony Khan has shown interest in discussing terms for a new contract for MJF after no-showing at a fan event.
MJF is leaning more towards leaving AEW in 2024 and has mentioned jumping ship to WWE in many interviews. He has stated that he might join Vince McMahon‘s company if the money is good.
