However, there was some confusion when a few videos, with fake English subtitles, claimed John Cena’s life was in danger and he needed assistance. It caused some genuine distress amongst the fan base.

However, the “Bing Chilling” video that John Cena shared, was a promo for the 2021 movie Fast and Furious 9, in which he appears as Jakob Toretto. Ice cream is known in Chinese as “Bing Chilling.” In the clip, John Cena greets China and stated his love for ice cream. But he also added that watching the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, was perhaps more enjoyable than ice cream.
The video has lately gained popularity again thanks to the addition of witty captions. In the video, Cena can be heard repeatedly saying the Mandarin phrase “Bing Chilling,” which is how the meme got its name.
The video’s meaning was made known by the well-known meme website Know Your Meme. In Mandarin, ice cream is generally referred to as “Bing Chilling.” The translation of a song he performed during the video is provided below.
“Good morning, China…Now I have ice cream…I like ice cream very much…But “Fast and Furious 9″ is better than ice cream,” said Cena, in the viral video.
John Cena speaks fluent Mandarin
John Cena speaks Mandarin as well as anybody else in the world. He started learning the language around 2012. To be more specific, John Cena managed to pick up Mandarin lessons while his time with WWE in order to support the company’s efforts to reach the Chinese market.

In an interview with The Straits Times, John Cena discussed how he developed an interest in Mandarin. Cena even found time in his hectic schedule for lessons. “I’ve been studying Mandarin for five years and I still speak like a third grader,” John says.
Cena does it so that he can try to communicate with Chinese people in order for WWE to hopefully find a market within the country. He typically studied with the help of flashcards for around 30 minutes a day, while carrying them around in a Sealed bag to save time and learn faster.
Cena committed himself to learning the language and mastering it. He’s now fluent in Mandarin as a result. The 16-time WWE champ chose to learn the language in a very methodical way.

While studying the language in China for WWE, he won people over one by one by posting weekly videos on WeChat.
He acknowledged that it took a lot of work, but the gains he obtained were worthwhile. His proficiency in the language has undoubtedly aided him with promotional events in China over the years as he’s made a name for himself in the acting industry.
