Eddie Guerrero and Chyna were two of the most influential personalities in the history of pro wrestling. They, with their exceptional skills inside the ring, thoroughly entertained the fans. Not to mention, they bagged several championships during their tenures with WWE and are both WWE Hall of Famers. While both of them share separate fanbases, their names have often popped up together.
It is to be noted that Eddie Guerrero and Chyna were once involved in an onscreen relationship. Previously, in 2000, Chyna was featured as the girlfriend of Eddie Guerrero on WWE television. During that, Guerrero referred to her as his “Mamacita“. This captured the attention of fans, and the duo instantly became a fan favorite.
Following that, fans enjoyed themselves thoroughly as their onscreen chemistry flourished. They were a part of several feuds and presented top-notch matches. However, the relationship saw its end in late 2000. The split occurred because Chyna discovered Guerrero with two other women in the shower, which was part of the storyline.
While Eddie and Chyna had attention-catching chemistry on screen, their romance never reached out to real life. Meanwhile, in real life, Eddie had been married to Vickie Guerrero since 1990. He was also a father to three of his daughters. On the other hand, Chyna was in a relationship with Triple H from 1996 to 2000.
Thus, while Chyna and Eddie were showcasing romance onscreen, they were involved with other people in real life. However, for a short period of time, they presented a run together that will be remembered by their fans for several years down the line.
Chyna previously commented on working with Eddie Guerrero
It’s been many years since Chyna and Eddie Guerrero were seen inside the ring together. However, until now, they have been considered one of the best couples in the history of WWE. With that, ‘The Ninth Wonder of the World’ previously commented on working with Guerrero.
In 2011, Chyna appeared for an interview on ‘Wrestling News Live’s Fall Out Show’. During that, she said, “Yeah it was really fun, I love the soap opera aspect so for me it was the first time we got to do vignettes and the chemistry was there and it was funny”.
She continued, “He really taught me a lot in the ring because when we worked together it was magic.” Chyna also mentioned that Eddie gave her teachings on how to press people. She then went on to call him “awesome“.
The pro wrestling careers of Chyna and Eddie are an inspiration to many. Unfortunately, neither of them is among us now to impart more of their extraordinary knowledge. Guerrero passed away in 2005, while Chyna passed away in 2016. Meanwhile, their stories are still alive in the hearts of their fans and will remain forever.
