Chyna quickly rose to fame in the World Wrestling Federation earning herself the title of “The Ninth Wonder of the World.” She paved the way, for wrestlers and she played a crucial role in the creation of the D Generation X group. Additionally, she also made history as the enforcer, in the promotions records.
Chyna achieved remarkable accomplishments by winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship on October 17, 1999, at the No Mercy pay-per-view event. In a Good Housekeeping match, she defeated Jeff Jarrett and became the first-ever female Intercontinental Champion. Furthermore, she claimed the WWF Women’s Championship on April 2, 2001, by defeating Ivory at WrestleMania X-Seven.
In 1996 Chyna and Triple H started their journey and instantly became a known power couple in the world of WWE. Their relationship grabbed the attention of fans’ eyes especially since Triple H eventually married Stephanie McMahon, who is now widely known. However, what shocked everyone was that during that period, the WWE star was dating his DX member, Chyna.
For the span of four years, that is from 1996 to 2000 Chyna and Triple H had a connection until their paths diverged when The Game got involved romantically with Stephanie. Triple H shared that their separation happened because they had different visions for the future and had disagreements about starting a family. It was further complicated by Chyna’s struggles with addiction.

In 2001, the WWE Hall of Famer made her last appearance in the wrestling ring, competing against Lita at Judgment Day. She reportedly departed from the WWE to pursue new, non-wrestling adventures.
Months before her exit, Chyna had already disappeared from television broadcasts. The reasons behind her departure vary to date. Some say she felt betrayed after her ex-boyfriend, “Triple H,” began dating Stephanie McMahon. Others claim that Chyna requested an annual contract of $1 million, a deal the WWE refused to offer her.
Chyna has given mixed responses regarding the role that her past relationship with Triple H played in her decision to quit wrestling.
Over time, Chyna underwent a radical appearance transformation. Initially introduced as a masculine and asexual bodyguard, she later evolved into a feminine s*x symbol, even posing for Playboy on occasion.
Chyna, at the ripe age of 46, tragically passed away in her Redondo Beach, California apartment on April 20, 2016. The police initially presumed an accidental drug overdose as the cause of death. Yet, eight months following the incident, it was discovered and confirmed that a lethal cocktail of alcohol, painkillers, and anxiety medications – diazepam and nordazepam, along with sleeping pills had taken her life.
