Bray Wyatt was released from WWE in July 2021. However, he returned to the promotion in October 2022 and, with him debuted a masked character named ‘Uncle Howdy’.
Howdy kept appearing since then. He sometimes saved Wyatt while sometimes attacked him. Uncle Howdy was last seen in March 2023 while trying to attack Bobby Lashley during his ongoing feud with Wyatt. As Howdy kept returning, WWE fans wondered about the real identity of the character. Now, it looks like Bo Dallas was Uncle Howdy all along.
Bo Dallas is a professional wrestler and the real-life brother of WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt. He performed in WWE from 2008 to 2021, and during this tenure, he became a one-time NXT Champion and won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship and the WWE 24/7 Championship.
WWE’s 2K23 video game includes Uncle Howdy’s character. According to the in-game stats, Howdy is a former one-time NXT Champion for the same number of days Bo Dallas held the championship.
This is more proof Bo is Uncle Howdy. WWE 2K23 has Uncle Howdy as a 1 time NXT Champion which Bo was. It also says Howdy held the champion for 280 days and Bo did to.This put all the rumors to an end and #2K messed up big time. #WWE #WWE2K23 @WhatsTheStatus @JoeMashups @WWEgames pic.twitter.com/83iBVBpdXK

Apart from that, the game also revealed that Howdy has held the Raw Tag Team Championship and the 24/7 championship. Thus, Howdy’s in-game record matches Dallas’s WWE record. Thus, there’s no doubt that Bo Dallas was the one who came with Wyatt during his return.
Bray Wyatt’s death brings an end to The Fiend and Uncle Howdy storyline
Bray Wyatt was on a hiatus from August 2018 to April 2019. However, he came back with a surprising gimmick. He portrayed two characters and switched between them randomly: Mr. Rogers and The Fiend.
Rogers portrayed the good side of Wyatt, while The Fiend portrayed the bad side and showcased himself as a horror-themed monster. However, Wyatt was released in 2021, and the Fiend character vanished with him. Following his return in 2022, Uncle Howdy made his debut.
Wyatt’s last match remained against LA Knight at the 2023 Royal Rumble since he was out of action since February 2023 due to illness and passed away on August 24, 2023, due to a heart attack.
Both Uncle Howdy and The Fiend were a part of Bray Wyatt’s creative imagination. And now that Wyatt is no longer among us it marks the end of the Fiend and Uncle Howdy storyline.
