Ronda Rousey recalls a particular incident from her career in professional wrestling that still makes her “cringe.” The Baddest Woman on the planet admitted there is still one in-ring blunder that still upsets her to this day while responding to comments from viewers who continuously asked her about the botch she had during her last match at Survivor Series with Shotzi during her recent YouTube stream.
Rousey said that she ‘botched’ citing her fear for Shotzi’s safety. “I f***ed it up because I was so concerned with keeping somebody safe and a lot of times when you see me do something for the first time, it’s the first time I ever did it. It’s the first time I ever did it, I was really concerned with keeping Shotzi safe and I made it look bad and you know what? Sorry. Apparently, I deserve to be fired or burned.”
But she said that wasn’t the incident that continues to torment her to this day. She explains, “The only botch I ever cringe at is when I missed slapping Ruby Riott, and WWE made reaction videos of everyone reacting, like, Oh my god, Ronda messed something up”
Ronda goes on to explain the incident, “Let’s all react and laugh and make a big deal out of it,” She said. “Like, Jesus. Are you guys looking a little bored? Need something to talk about? Gotta sh*t all over my tan suit?”
Ronda has been facing backlash from the WWE Universe and wrestling fans are asking her to hang up her boots and leave WWE for good.
WWE fans want Ronda Rousey fired after her embarrassing botches
As a result of the controversy surrounding Rousey’s performance against seasoned veteran Shotzi at the Survivor Series, the hashtag #FireRondaRousey is treading. One of Shotzi’s trademark moves is the ‘Apron DDT’, which top athletes like Toni Storm and Bianca Belair executed flawlessly when competing for NXT.

But Rousey’s error, combined with a mediocre fight, has given the wrestling audience more reasons to demand that WWE replace the Smackdown women’s champion.

Ronda Rousey has received some support from industry veterans despite the outrage from some fans. After Survivor Series, Ric Flair defended the superstar, calling her “fabulous.” Dutch Mantell also stepped in to support the champion, saying he didn’t hold her responsible for any of the alleged botch made during the Survivor Series.
Ronda is often regarded as “unsafe” by the Wrestling Pandits, as she lacks experience in the ring. The only reason she is still the main event star is the star power she brings along to the WWE Women’s division which has already lost its glory after the absences of stars like Sasha Banks, Naomi Charlotte Flair, and many more.
