SUMMARY
- CM Punk delivered a fiery promo at Monday Night RAW to address Drew McIntyre.
- The promo seemingly confirms which direction WWE is going in.
CM Punk is currently involved in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre. However, they haven’t yet faced each other inside the squared circle because of Punk’s injury. However, fans are absolutely enjoying their promo battles.
With that, both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre made an appearance during the April 29, 2024, episode of WWE RAW. During that, The Best in the World delivered a fiery promo. He said to Drew, “I’m right here, you little b*tch”. Thus, it looks like Punk has seemingly confirmed the end of WWE’s PG era.
For fans who might be wondering, the PG era refers to an era where WWE made a number of changes to their daily programming to make it viewable to younger fans. This included a reduction in the use of excessive violence, the display of blood, bad words, and more.

However, recently, many of those rules have been broken. With that, fans were wondering if the PG era was over or not. Hence, with CM Punk calling Drew McIntyre “b*tch” on WWE television, it looks like the PG era is no longer in existence. However, the Stamford-based promotion has yet to make an official statement to confirm the end of the PG era.
WWE has changed completely since Triple H’s takeover
Previously, in September 2022, Triple H became the Chief Content Officer of WWE. However, after WWE merged with the UFC to form TKO Group Holdings, Triple H was granted full control over creative. With that, The Game began making several changes to WWE programming.
Not to mention, he has often received praise from all over the globe for his extraordinary storytelling. Also, several other things have changed since Triple H took control. Unlike before, now women wrestlers are given more importance. Apart from that, HHH also gave a chance to several mid-card wrestlers who are now among the top names of the company.
In addition to all that, it’s also possible that Triple H is slowly ending the PG era. This is because, in recent times, there has been the use of several curse words and also blood on WWE television. For instance, in his speech during the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony, Paul Heyman said, “If you think that the spirit of ECW died in a bankruptcy court in 2001, you can suck my f*cking di*k.”

Also, not too long ago, Cody Rhodes was seen covered in blood as The Rock brutally assaulted him. As of now, CM Punk has delivered a bold promo. Thus, it can be understood that WWE is slowly changing its ways as compared to how it was earlier. With that, it remains to be seen what other changes HHH will introduce going forward.
CM Punk had the perfect welcome for Drew McIntyre, who signed a new contract with WWE
WWE fans have been worried about Drew McIntyre’s future for quite some time now. This is because it was reported that his contract was set to expire soon, while he and WWE were unable to come to terms on a new deal.
Meanwhile, on April 28, 2024, The Rock took his ‘X’ handle to announce that McIntyre had signed a new deal with WWE. With that, he made an appearance on the latest episode of RAW. While The Scottish Warrior might be expecting a warm welcome after he recently signed a new contract, Punk had the perfect welcome for him.
Man of my word 🗡️ 🏴
As you’re a man of yours – Congratulations @DMcIntyreWWE on signing your new @wwe deal.

The Second City Saint appeared and took constant shots at McIntyre. If that was not enough, he also called The Scottish Warrior “b*tch.” With that, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for Punk and McIntyre.
Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that, following the 2024 WWE Draft, both Punk and McIntyre have been drafted to Monday Night RAW. Also, with WWE Backlash 2024 fast approaching, it is to be seen if The Scottish Warrior and The Best in the World will have any role to play at the Premium Live Event.
