Former WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey has aimed a brutal dig at Vince McMahon and WWE executive Bruce Prichard. The WWE world is still reeling from the shocking s*xual trafficking lawsuit filed against McMahon. However, Rousey believes that despite Vince McMahon’s recent resignation, he would have a sway over the WWE.
Ronda Rousey took a swipe at Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard earlier today on her X (formerly known as Twitter) account. Rousey wrote, “Bruce Prichard is basically Vince’s avatar, if he’s still around Vince still has a hand in the business.” She further stated McMahon will continue to exercise his influence on the WWE through Prichard as he has done before.

Bruce Prichard, who works as a member of the company’s creative team, is a long-standing ally of Vince McMahon. Despite being fired twice from the company, Prichard has had over thirty years of experience working at the WWE. Rousey pointed out that when McMahon left the company in 2022, he continued to have his say as WWE’s majority shareholder.
Therefore, Rousey feels that the situation will be no different this time. Following former WWE employee Janel Grant’s lawsuit against McMahon, the co-founder of the WWE tendered his resignation effective immediately. McMahon has been accused of physical and emotional abuse, s*xual assault, and trafficking. The 78-year-old has vowed that he will vigorously fight the lawsuit and has labeled Grant’s accusations as lies.
Vince McMahon resigns from TKO group after s*x trafficking lawsuit
Janel Grant sent shockwaves in the WWE world when she filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon this Thursday. Grant, who worked at the company from 2019 to 2022, claimed that she was a victim of s*xual abuse perpetrated by McMahon and former WWE executive John Laurinaitis. Following the lawsuit, a spokesperson for McMahon vehemently denied the charges.
WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, also issued a statement claiming that they would look into the “horrific allegations.” However, the next day, McMahon stated that he would be stepping down from his role as the executive chairman of the board of TKO Group Holdings. He stated, “I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately.”
Vince McMahon in new statement as he officially resigns from TKO:
“I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth. I intend to vigorously defend myself… pic.twitter.com/xpEK5qnNpn

Nick Khan, the president of the WWE, also issued a statement confirming McMahon’s resignation. He stated that he had taken this decision out of his respect for the WWE universe, and all the members, partners, shareholders, and employees associated with the company. Nevertheless, McMahon remained firm in his stance regarding Janel Grant’s “baseless allegations“ and reiterated that he would fight to clear his name.
When did Ronda Rousey leave WWE?
Former wrestler and American actress Ronda Rousey left WWE back in October last year. Despite her incredible fame in the WWE, Rousey has had much success even before she joined the company. Rousey became the first American woman ever to win an Olympic Bronze in judo back in 2008. She’s also the first female fighter to be signed by the UFC and the first UFC Women’s bantamweight champion.
Rousey signed with the WWE back in 2018 and made her first appearance in the Royal Rumble in January 2018. Over the five years she spent at the company, Rousey won the Women’s Royal Rumble (2018), Slammy Award, WWE Raw Women’s Championship, and WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship twice among others. After leaving WWE in 2023, Rousey made her debut in the Ring of Honor a few months ago.
