Several fans took to their ‘X’ handles to express their feelings about Rousey’s ROH debut. While many talked about “empty seats“, some talked about the downgrade of Ronda. With that, one fan wrote, “She fell off so bad”. Thus, it can be understood that Rowdy’s ROH debut failed to impress the fans following her unceremonious departure from WWE.
Meanwhile, it is to be noted that following Rousey’s ROH debut, she teamed up with Marina Shafir to face the team of Billie Starkz and Athena. However, though the match was interesting, it ended in a no-contest.
Why did Ronda Rousey leave WWE?
Ronda Rousey has been a dominant force in WWE. She presented several top-level matches and bagged many championships. However, she recently quietly walked away from the Triple H-led promotion. With that, many fans wondered about the reason for her departure from the Stamford-based promotion.
Previously, Ronda Rousey was engaged in a feud with Shayna Baszler. This resulted in an MMA Rules match between the two at the SummerSlam 2023 pay-per-view event. At the event, Baszler defeated Rousey via technical submission.

Following the match, Ronda took to her Instagram handle to make a post. She tagged Shayna Baszler and mentioned that Baszler was the reason she got into the business, and after her loss, she had no reason to stay. With that, Rousey went on a hiatus and later made a post about her retirement.
Though neither Ronda Rousey nor WWE clearly stated a reason for her exit from the company, it can be understood that Ronda’s loss against her long-time friend Shayna ultimately resulted in her departure from the promotion. Meanwhile, Rousey has now made her debut in ROH. It now remains to be seen what lies ahead for her in her new promotion.
