In 2022, John Cena made his comeback to the ring for the first time in the year, joining forces with Kevin Owens to face The Tribal Chief and Sami Zayn. It was a match fit for John Cena’s return, with him sliding right back in alongside the company’s biggest and finest names at the time. Kevin Owens got the honor of pinning The Honorary Uce to give him and John Cena the victory.
Frustrated with their defeat, the Bloodline ambushed Cena and Owens after SmackDown went off the air. Fans’ videos show Sami and the Usos beating down Owens and Cena till McIntyre and the Brawling Brutes intervened. Cena and Owens took care of the other Bloodline members, as Honorary Uce took a stunner from Owens and a Double-A from Cena.
Following the match, Cena cuts a promo in which he thanks the WWE Universe for their love and support. He also addressed his record of completing at least one match every year since his debut in 2002. “I just want to say thank you so much for the greatest gift you can ever give, which is allowing me to step inside this ring for 20 straight years.” “I have had one match, at least, every single year since I started in 2002… so I found out the last event of the year was right in my backyard in Tampa Bay.”
Cena then thanked the WWE Universe and wished them a happy 2023.

WWE has planned major matches for WrestleMania 39. Logan Paul wants to face John Cena and expressed his interest in a possible match with him. According to recent rumors, the match has been confirmed at the Showcase of the Immortals.
John Cena vs. Logan Paul is one of the matches planned for WrestleMania. Last month, Logan said he wanted that match.
