Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley could be set for a possible return since being out of action due to a serious knee injury sustained while training at WWE’s Performance Center.

Details on Bailey’s injury and WrestleMania appearances

Bayley suffered from an ACL injury while routine training and was set to be out for nine months. A possible comeback might be conceivable after the nine-month period at April 2022 which could be the perfect time given that WrestleMania is around the corner. Bayley’s first WrestleMania appearance took place in 2017 as she defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax in a Fatal Four-Way match. She also won the Tag Team Championship with Sasha Banks as the “Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection” in WrestleMania 35 as they defeated the IIconics.

Bayley was engaged in a feud with Bianca Belair to defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank 2021 which was stipulated to be an “I Quit” match. The plans were scrapped following her injury. Bayley was in her reign as the longest reigning WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion before her injury took place.

Will Bayley return at WrestleMania 38?

Bayley recently took to twitter where she highlighted the fact that she is a “free agent” in an attempt to tease the fans following the WWE draft where she remained unpicked by any of the two brands. She also posted a video on Instagram which shows some kind of a video package being played on another screen with the intro from the song “Fly In” by Lil Wayne playing in the background. She was also seen at the Barclays Center attending a Brooklyn Nets game with fellow WWE superstar Aliyah.

With her nine-month timescale about to end, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports that Bayley might return soon even though there are no plans for any kind of  regular appearance for her on television as it is unclear at what brand she will return to. The Instagram video was shortly released after this report had come out. There might be a possibility that Bayley might make an appearance at the “Show of Shows”.
