Last night was the biggest event of the Summer, SummerSlam. Ahead of the show, some fans criticized Triple H and WWE for not having some of the top talents in the PLE. The Chief Content Officer has now responded to the accusations.
At the SummerSlam Post-Show Press Conference, Triple H replied to the people who complained that the matches were being cut. The issue the people had was that Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus’ match wasn’t on the card. They were also puzzled at why The United States Championship match did not take place at the show.
The Game replied to those comments by saying, “But nothing was cut. There was no card announced.” The Head of the WWE Creative stays at a safe spot considering any injuries that may come up at the PLE.
The 2023 SummerSlam ran for a time that was quite lengthy in the eyes of Triple H. He also claimed that if the event stretched further longer, it would have gone bad. With more matches to be kept on the card, it would directly imply that the match length needs to be cut short. “Does everything get rushed? Or do we move things around and shift it and give it a bigger spotlight?” he asked everyone sitting in the audience.
Being the head of the creative, it all falls in his hands to decide how the promotion goes in the long run. Every PLE is a platform to set the storylines for the future. He, thus feels that whatever he did was for the betterment of the company.
Fans were unhappy to not see Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus on WWE SummerSlam
Triple H made very strong statements justifying his bookings of SummerSlam at the Post-Show Press Conference. But what was it that made him justify his doings publicly? The fans had been quite intrigued by the storyline that Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus were in. Their match on this past Monday Night was cut short due to an interference from Zoey Stark.
Everyone expected the rematch to take place at SummerSlam but unfortunately, that was not the case. The match was pushed to the August 14th episode of Raw.

Soon, the WWE Universe took charge to demand a match for the two women at WWE’s August PLE. Becky Lynch too seemed frustrated for not being able to secure a spot at SummerSlam. Triple H also revealed that “whoever is the most deserving, whatever is the most deserving” would get an opportunity for the main event.
Women do not hold any special privileges in the eyes of Triple H. Instead, he keeps them equal to all the men in the division. “My only thing is, one, have patience, two, there’s always another thing around the corner,” said ‘The Game.’ Looking at the bookings practically, the entire division is filled with jaw-dropping storylines. With this being said, one cannot expect to see all the stars take up the stage at any one-day PLE.
