The fever of SummerSlam 2023 had hardly gotten off the WWE Universe’s mind than The Rock took charge to let them go bonkers again. Many fans had expected Dwayne Johnson to show up in Fort Field, Detroit for the iconic Tribal Combat. While he couldn’t fulfill the fans’ desire back then, it appears that the Great One has a blockbuster plan for his fans.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson appeared on the Hart to Heart episode with his dearest friend Kevin Hart. Their conversations took a turn towards WrestleMania 40 and Kevin confirmed that the event would take place in Philadelphia. Kevin claimed that he helped Nick Khan in bringing The Grandest Stage of Them All to his hometown.
Jestfully, talking about Nick, Dwyane Johnson told Hart, “So he told you there was a potential of me going to WrestleMania in Philly?” His statements were then followed by what seemed to be a ‘bluttered fact’. “You guys are gonna be here for two days?” said Kevin Hart. This was followed by The Rock saying, “Yeah,” this was exactly what the fans wanted to hear.
The sharp-eared fans caught Kevin’s “you guys” and Johnson’s “Yeah” which is a huge spill that came from the Jumanji stars. It is quite early to make any claims about his return. While nothing may change till April 2024, it’s time that The Rock quenches the four-year thirst of the WWE Universe.
The Rock was rumored to be a part of the WWE SummerSlam
WrestleMania 40 isn’t the first stage where The Rock is rumored to make his return. Previously he was being expected at WrestleMania 39 and more recently, at SummerSlam. As Roman Reigns and Jey Uso battled their way to walk out as the Tribal Chief, many claimed that The Rock would back Jey Uso up.
However, the rumors remained mere rumors. Dwyane Johnson was nowhere to be found in Ford Field. The Samoan family has extended its storylines of betrayals after Jimmy Uso turned against his twin Jey Uso. WrestleMania 40 would serve as a great stage to witness the legendary family feud. The Rock’s WWE return would certainly serve as the icing on the cake for the audience.
The Great One is rumored to appear at almost all of the WWE Premium Live Events. However, there have been no statements from his end on the matter. As a result, the expectations go down the drain. However, for the first time, Dwyane Johnson has talked of his appearance at a WWE PLE hinting at his much-awaited return. Fans are all fingers crossed as they wait for The Rock to walk to the ring with his ‘Electrifying’ music.
