Monday Night Raw after Night of Champions saw Cody Rhodes come out to cut a scathing promo on his May 27 opponent Brock Lesnar. The two stalwarts of WWE faced off in a singles match mere days after Lesnar broke Rhodes’ arm on Raw. Despite a valiant effort, The American Nightmare passed out to Lesnar’s Kimura lock as the referee stopped the match.
Lesnar and Cody’s feud started on Raw after WrestleMania 39. At the start of the show, Rhodes confronted Roman Reigns over their match at the Show of Shows, where the former lost. He was challenged to a tag team match by The Tribal Chief, which led to Brock Lesnar siding with Cody. However, ahead of the match, he attacked Rhodes. This ultimately led to a match at Backlash on May 6, where Rhodes defeated The Beast Incarnate.

On the latest episode of Raw, Cody Rhodes came out to address Brock Lesnar. He stated that despite The Beast winning, he would not be satisfied with the win. Rhodes then stated that Lesnar was Beast enough to unleash a beatdown on him but not man enough to make him tap out. Cody Rhodes went on to challenge Lesnar for another match, a proposal Lesnar has not addressed yet.
Cody added, “Brock Lesnar is an elite amateur wrestler who has won the NCAAs twice. He is a former UFC heavyweight champion, likey Hall of Famer there at the UFC. He has held the WWE championship, he is the man that broke The Undertaker’s streak. Brock Lesnar is the beast. Beast enough to break my arm, but not man enough to make me tap out.”
Will Cody Rhodes get his revenge on Brock Lesnar for breaking his arm?
After his arm was shattered by Lesnar on the Raw before Night of Champions, Cody Rhodes battled the pain and refused to give up despite getting advice from Triple H not to partake in the bout. The American Nightmare tried to make use of his titanium cast against Lesnar on Saturday but could not prevail.
It is rational to think that Cody Rhodes will be desperate for revenge in the coming weeks. He has already challenged Lesnar to a fight. In all likelihood, the match could either take place at Money in the Bank on July 1 or at SummerSlam on August 5.

Irrespective of when the match takes place, Rhodes will make sure to heal his arm and get in the best of shape for The Beast. The former AEW star looks like a man possessed when it comes to Brock Lesnar, who also cost Cody Rhodes a chance at the newly minted World Heavyweight Championship. As their third match will probably happen sometime soon, it remains to be seen how Brock Lesnar will respond.
