Shane McMahon made a surprise entry on the second night of WrestleMania 39 but the plan did not go as everyone expected it to. While The Miz and Snoop Dogg stood in the ring, Shane McMahon made his way to the ring amidst an enthralling audience.
It had hardly been a few moments into the impromptu match set up between The Miz and Shane, then the latter landed flat on his knee. As Shane tried for a frog splash on his opponent, he landed on the mat in an extremely awkward position. He tried to compensate for the drop but the landing had a massive impact on his knee preventing him from standing up.

The Miz revolved around McMahon in circles trying to figure out how to build up the story ahead. However, Snoop Dogg was present to save the segment for both stars. Merging from the ringside, Snoop landed blows on Miz landing him flat on the ground. The WWE Golden belt holder shone out as the star of the match as he pinned the A-Lister for a clean win on Shane McMahon’s part.

Meanwhile, Shane McMahon was helped backstage by the WWE officials. The WWE Universe has been eager to know the extent of the injury that Shane suffered in the SoFi Stadium. Triple H, during the press conference, gave an update on the two injuries that happened at the PLE to Shane McMahon and Finn Balor. “Paul Levesque just announced that Shane McMahon suffered a torn Quad at Wrestlemania 39,” confirmed PWInsider.
Is Shane McMahon back in WWE?
Shane McMahon’s WrestleMania 39 appearance was his first appearance since the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble. The 53-year-old received much backlash from the fans and the WWE stars alike for him making it to the top 3 spots during the match. Soon after, he took his leave from the ring and wasn’t seen before the 2nd of April 2023.

With his physical health taking over the glorious matches that he has had in his career, it seems quite improbable that he would return to WWE. His recent injury has kept him under the doctor’s scan and there is no update on how long his rest period lasts. While fans hope for his quick recovery, there is very less probability that Shane will get back to WWE for in-ring action at least in the near future.
