SUMMARY
- Finn Balor suffered another loss on the recent episode of Monday Night RAW.
- The Demon has been a victim of Triple H's booking decisions, and this loss feels like just an additional to that list.
Triple H has revolutionized WWE through his creative leadership, and the company’s overall success in recent months proves it. While The Game’s booking decisions have usually received a lot of praise from the pro wrestling community, his booking with Finn Balor has been really frustrating, to say the least.
The Irish pro wrestler added a lot of prestige to his persona when he joined The Judgment Day by attacking Edge and thus turning heel in the process. Since then, Balor has been a regular feature on weekly television and has been a part of almost all major PLEs in some capacity.
The Demon even had a dominant run with the WWE Tag Team Championship, as he and Damian Priest had two reigns with the titles before losing them at WrestleMania 40. But Hunter’s recent booking of Finn has been a complete disaster, as he doesn’t seem too invested in Finn’s presentation as a performer, and his loss to Jey Uso on RAW proves it.

On the show, Finn Balor and Main Event Jey fought each other to advance further in the King of the Ring tournament, but The Judgment Day star lost the bout despite the backing of his mates. What made this defeat even worse was that The Demon was pinned after taking a weak Spear from Jey. Also, a loss in the first round shows the kind of plans Triple H has for him, and that’s what makes it all even more frustrating for the fans.
Finn Balor has been used as a stepping stone in other WWE stars’ stories
Even if we leave aside Balor’s recent loss to Jey Uso on RAW, there’s still a lot to talk about the booking decisions for the 42-year-old performer. The thing that has impacted Finn’s singles career pretty badly is that he has been used as a stepping stone in other WWE stars’ stories.
Finn Balor is without a doubt still one of the best in-ring workers in the industry, but the Stamford-based promotion has used him to his full capabilities. The Demon can either be seen losing one-on-one fights against opponents who are involved in bigger storylines, or he is used as the guy to take the pin in his faction’s matches.
The Irish pro wrestler was part of the tournament to crown the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion in May 2023 and even reached the semifinals of the tournament. But even in that match, he lost to Seth Rollins, as The Visionary advanced to the finals and eventually won the prestigious title.
After this, he had a number of opportunities to win the title from Rollins and even got the opportunity to fight for the championship at SummerSlam 2023. He also competed for the title at MITB, but also lost this match, as he was used to adding prestige to Seth’s title. All these aspects showcase how Finn Balor has been overlooked in Triple H’s bookings.
Finn Balor looks set to kick out Damian Priest from The Judgment Day
It’s been long since the 5-foot-11 star got the spotlight in the Stamford-based promotion, but it seems like the days of getting the stardom back aren’t far now. The reason behind this is that Finn Balor looks set to kick out Damian Priest from The Judgment Day, and it might help him in once again making it to the top of the division as a singles star.
The beginning of the possible end of this faction was hinted at by WWE at the recent Backlash event in France, as Priest was involved in an argument with his teammates and even pushed Finn. This slight friction between them could get beyond control in the coming weeks and eventually lead up to the heelish group’s breakdown, as Damian might turn face.

Also, as Damian Priest is currently the World Heavyweight Champion, a rivalry with him could be the best way to give Finn Balor a well-deserved title run. But it all depends on the way Hunter and his team look at things, as all this can happen only if they decide to pull the trigger on The Demon. Thus, it remains to be seen what the organization has in store for The Irish professional wrestler.
