LA Knight has become the biggest current sensation in the WWE Universe. His every action is highly acknowledged by the fans with a deafening pop. While his age plays a massive role in his understanding of the fans, there has been one person who helped LA reach the pinnacle he is at today.
In his 20-year-long career, LA Knight has come across many top names of the division including The Undertaker and Bray Wyatt. However, it was The Undertaker’s manager – Paul Bearer who mentored him on multiple occasions. Paul Bearer helped the WWE storylines gain momentum with him claiming himself to be Kane’s biological father and The Undertaker’s stepfather.
However, in Kayfabe, the storyline sowed the seeds of rivalry between Kane, The Undertaker, and Paul. The storyline also brought out a unique and perfectionist side of Bearer’s personality. Paul used this experience to provide advice to the young stars in the division including LA Knight.

“Whenever I would call him or message him or whatever for advice, he was always very, very, very appreciative about it,” revealed LA Knight in an interview with Metro.co.uk. Paul Bearer had worked with many WWE legends such as The Undertaker, Kane, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and thus LA indirectly was being taught from their experiences.
However, not all youngsters from the industry benefited from Bearer. LA Knight revealed that many people didn’t come forward to learn from him. “Whether it was out of some trepidation or fear or whatever” it was ultimately a loss for those people. For almost four years, the 40-year-old star was under the guidance of Paul Bearer before he left for his heavenly abode in 2013.
LA Knight shared a heartfelt message to the fans after the tragic passing of Paul Bearer
LA Knight was the last person managed by Paul Bearer before his unfortunate demise. Paul had been suffering from respiratory problems in his last days but eventually gave in because of a cardiac arrest on March 5, 2013. The entire WWE Universe came in to mourn the loss of the WWE Hall Of Famer. LA Knight appeared in the ring the following day and paid tribute to his dearest friend.
Knight recalled his days as a seven-year-old who saw Percy Pringle in the ring. He never thought that he himself would make it to the Percy Pringle Dynasty. In fact, Knight was one of those people who Percy talked about in his final hours. This incident left the 40-year-old WWE star extremely emotional.

“Left me with a message. He said I love you. He said also ‘You have great things coming your way’ and he was right,” said LA Knight. Paul’s death brought a great zeal of motivation in Knight. While he made it a motive to stand out on Paul Bearer’s, he has achieved his aim in doing so.
