Braun Strowman is a popular name in WWE, and his exceptional skills thoroughly entertain the fans in the Stamford-based promotion. However, he is currently out of action from WWE television because of neck surgery.
In the meantime, Braun Strowman was recently seen appearing for an interview. During that, Strowman talked about an AEW Star and said that he would be forever grateful to that star for his wrestling career. The AEW star in question is none other than Mark Henry.
Strowman recently spoke about Henry and said that he and Henry became friends after he won North America’s Strongest Man. Following that the WWE Superstar stated that previously Henry saw something in him and called Vince McMahon.
Strowman continued, “He said ‘you need to look at this kid’. He put his name on the line, brought my plane ticket, flew me down to Florida. Mark Henry personally picked me up from the airport, took me all around, showed me a good time, was there for my trial. I owe so much to that man”.
Thus, it seems Mark Henry helped Strowman a lot during his initial days in WWE. For that, Strowman has been grateful to the AEW star for his career. It is indeed commendable how Henry helped Strowman in the past.
Mark Henry wanted Braun Strowman to be a part of AEW
Mark Henry is currently a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW). On the other hand, Braun Strowman has been a part of WWE. With that, Henry previously wanted Strowman to be a part of WWE’s rival promotion, AEW.
Previously, Henry appeared for a conversation with TMZ. During that, he was asked if he was trying to bring Braun into AEW. With that, he said, “Super high on my list. It’s not an all Mark Henry decision, but there’s already interest on both sides…I love that dude”. (H/T:- 411mania)
Henry continued and stated that he talked to Braun and mentored him. However, he added that he tells Strowman all the time that he can’t talk business. Meanwhile, he asked Braun to call and let him know when his contract with WWE expires.
However, as of now, Strowman is still a part of WWE and is currently on hiatus from the ring. With that, it remains to be seen if Braun will make his return to the largest wrestling promotion in the world or if he will choose to side with Henry. Whatever the case, fans will eagerly wait for his return to the ring.
