Dwayne Johnson seems to be facing a lot of setbacks lately. Recently, the XFL, which is jointly owned by him and his ex-wife Dany Garcia suffered a loss of an estimated $60 million. The loss is considered huge given The Great One and Garcia had so much confidence in the success of the league. Later, Forbes took a dig at Johnson following the loss.
The article was titled, “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Says The XFL Will Succeed. Who Wants To Tell Him He’s Wrong?”. In the article, Johnson’s interview projecting XFL’s success was also cited. During the said interview, Johnson said, XFL is “a league of opportunity” and “I wish I’d had the XFL when I was coming out”.
The Rock reacted to the Forbes article on Twitter, also addressing the loss.
I’ve tried to tell him his whole life but he’s never listened to me 😜
I play the long game in business and XFL is no exception. We saw some nice successes and took some L’s in our first season that we learn from.

“I’ve tried to tell him his whole life but he’s never listened to me 😜. I play the long game in business and XFL is no exception. We saw some nice successes and took some L’s in our first season that we learn from. 75-100 XFL players will be competing in NFL camps this fall. That’s a big number that will continue to grow season over season,” Johnson stated.
The Great One further added that he along with other business partners are into this for the long haul. And are building XFL slowly and steadily. He concluded by thanking the fans of the league and explaining that success takes time.
On top of that, the league has projected $100 million in revenue for the next season as per sources. Not to mention, Johnson along with Garcia and Redbird Capital bought the XFL when it was on the verge of collapse and they eventually revived it.
Has the stardom of Dwayne Johnson declined considering recent major setbacks?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is known to have a Midas touch. The prime reason for that is his success in multiple fields. The Rock began his career in Professional Wrestling and became one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. He then burst into the Hollywood scene and became one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Furthermore, his business ventures also mostly succeeded.
Due to recent setbacks, fans all over the world speculate whether Johnson’s star power is suddenly declining. He is currently facing a $3 billion kidnapping lawsuit by former WWE employee, Trenesha Biggers. Also, the “Young Rock” series got canceled by NBC after three seasons. Months ago, the Black Adam sequel was canceled by DCEU as well.
