Rey Mysterio is undoubtedly one of the greatest to ever step foot inside a wrestling ring. The legendary Luchador was able to achieve enormous success despite being a 5 foot 6 highflying cruiserweight. The Mexican star is a grand slam champion in the WWE and has won several championships in other promotions as well.
Unlike other WWE stars, Rey Mysterio never shied away from bringing his family members on live TV. Fans might remember seeing the entire Mysterio family in 2005 during his famous feud with Eddie Guerrero. Rey’s wife Angie, and their children were all part of the program.
Rey met his wife Angie in 1990 at a gym. She is an actor and has worked as a director and script supervisor. The couple tied the knot on 11th May 1996 after dating for years. They have a son and a daughter.
The WWE universe is familiar with their son Dominik who followed in his father’s footsteps and became a WWE superstar. Rey and Dominik became the first father-son duo to win the Tag Team Championship in the company. Rey and Angie also have a daughter named Aalyah. Rey Mysterio’s WWE feud with his son Dominik Mysterio
Rey’s son Dominik famously turned on his father during The Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event in 2022. While Dominik joined the dark faction The Judgment Day, the veteran superstar changed brand and joined Smackdown to avoid fighting his son.
After refusing to fight Dominik for months, Rey finally snapped at his son during the March 24, 2023 edition of Smackdown. The Judgment Day member got punched in the face by his father after he disrespected his mother and sister on live TV. Rey also accepted his son’s challenge to a match at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 39 will witness the much-anticipated father vs son match when Rey faces his son Dominik. It is unclear whether the match will be Mysterio’s last match in his career. It’ll be interesting to see how the match will play out as fans expect Rey to hang up his boots after putting his son over.
Rey Mysterio is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023
The legendary superstar got his well-deserved induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The announcement came as a surprise to many as nobody expected Mysterio to get inducted while he’s an active superstar. WWE legend and Rey’s friend Konnan is expected to induct the star at the ceremony. Mysterio will join stars like The Great Muta, Andy Kaufman, and Stacy Kiebler in the 2023 Hall of Fame.

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will be happening on March 31st which is one day before WrestleMania 39. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if Dominik Mysterio will interfere and ruin his father’s big moment to further their ongoing storyline.
