SUMMARY
- Pretty Deadly is currently one of the most popular tag teams in the entire Stamford-based promotion.
- Before joining SmackDown, the team was a part of WWE's development territory, NXT.
WWE is currently at the peak of its popularity, and the tag team division has a major role in it. Among all active teams in the Stamford-based promotion, Friday Night SmackDown’s Pretty Deadly is surely one of the most rapidly growing duo’s in the organization.
After making a name for themselves on NXT, the team of Elton Prince and Kit Wilson now performs on SmackDown. Through their young run on the blue brand, they’ve captivated audiences with their work inside and outside the ring. While the duo is mostly praised for their in-ring work, fans often question the sexuality of these two stars.
One reason why they face such questions about their sexuality from fans is the way they’ve been presented on TV. Looking at the gimmick they’ve been performing, a lot of people wonder if Pretty Deadly is gay. So, without any further ado, let’s find out the truth behind Elton and Wilson’s sexuality.
Even though there has been a lot of speculation about whether the tag team duo is gay, that’s not true. In fact, both of them are in happy relationships with their respective girlfriends. The reason behind them being questioned about their sexuality is probably just due to their on-screen characters. Thus, the truth is that the blue brand‘s Pretty Deadly is not gay.
Elton Prince and Kit Wilson’s love life
As fans get to know that Pretty Deadly isn’t gay, the first question they ask is about their romantic relationships. So, to answer the same, Elton and Kit’s love life is well-known by the WWE universe. The reason is that they are dating their co-workers from the Triple H-led promotion.
According to reports, the blue brand’s Elton Prince is currently dating former NXT Women’s Champion, Isla Dawn. The exact timeline of their love story isn’t known. But it has been speculated that they probably started dating in 2018. As they were quite young at time, it might have started as casual dating. But now they are more serious about each other, and most importantly their relationship.
At that time, Isla, who is originally from Scotland, got her big break through the Stamford-based promotion’s UK program. On the other hand, Prince was performing in tag team competition on the British independent circuit. As both of them were working in the same country at that time, that’s probably when the couple started dating each other.

Surprisingly, the love life of Elton’s tag team partner, Kit Wilson, is also quite similar. The 29-year-old SmackDown star is in a relationship with NXT’s Stevie Turner. This beautiful couple started dating when WWE’s development territory still had the NXT UK brand, and they have been together since then.
Even though the two have held each other’s side for years, they’ve not yet married. But the pro wrestling couple has already announced their engagement, as they got engaged back in April 2022. In a beautiful post, they announced their engagement through Instagram. It’s now been nearly two years since their engagement, and thus they’re expected to tie the knot in the near future.
The WWE career of Pretty Deadly
It’s true that the dating lives of this tag team’s members have been quite interesting, and their WWE careers have also been very similar. The duo was working on NXT UK until 2019, but made their official debut in WWE in early 2021. After this, they became the number one contenders for the brand’s Tag Team Championship on January 28, 2021, after winning a four-way tag match.
Following this, Pretty Deadly started its first title reign by winning the NXT UK tag titles on the February 25 episode. After a dominant run as the champions, they eventually lost the titles to Moustache Mountain on December 9, 2021, as it ended their title run at 287 days.
This eventually led to their repacking, as they later came to NXT under their current ring names in April 2022. In their first official match under the yellow brand, they at last pinned the Creed Brothers in a gauntlet match to win the vacant NXT Tag Team Championship. This victory made them the first tag team to achieve the titles on their debut, which was absolutely crazy.
Despite such a strong debut, their team lost the titles to the Creed Brothers on June 4, as it ended the run at 53 days. After this, they again competed for the UK brand’s tag titles but weren’t successful. On the September 4 episode of the yellow brand, the heel duo won a fatal 4-way tag team elimination match that unified the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Championships.
After becoming the first unified NXT tag champions, Pretty Deadly lost their titles to The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. This was the end of their second reign with the titles, and after this, they attempted to regain the championships a number of times but were unsuccessful.
This eventually became a reason for their departure from the yellow brand, as they were then sent to SmackDown as a part of the 2023 Draft. After being drafted to the Blue brand, the team made a strong debut on the show. In their first-ever match on the 2-hour show, Pretty Deadly defeated
Ridge Holland and Butch of The Brawling Brutes on the May 19, 2023, episode. Just about a month after their debut match, they became the number one contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship on June 16, 2023. In an exceptional match for the titles against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Pretty Deadly, failed to win the titles.
Despite this loss, they impressed everyone with their performance. But in July 2023, Elton Prince suffered a separated shoulder and had to be sidelined from action. Due to this they had to be kept away from in-ring competition for a significant time. But the team made a return on the October 13 episode of SmackDown. In their return match, they fought against their long-time rivals, The Brawling Brutes.
Following their comeback to the blue brand, Pretty Deadly have been performing consistently well. In fact, a lot of fans have been requesting WWE to finally give them a push with the titles. But will the Stamford-based promotion listen to fans’ suggestions to give them a run with the top prize? We’ll probably get to know the answer in the near future.
