“The Best Incarnate” Brock Lesnar has headlined multiple WrestleManias. After his defeat against Roman Reigns, Lesnar seems to be done with WWE. He waved goodbye to the fans after his main event match at WrestleMania 38. Here’s why Lesnar might retire in the near future.

1. Brock Lesnar is 44 years old
Brock Lesnar has been an athlete in professional combat sports for well over 20 years. He has achieved everything he possibly can in the WWE. He is a multi-time champion and a first-ballot future Hall of Famer. Seeing that he has been part-timing for a few months, it might be time for him to hang up his boots.
2. Brock Lesnar had planned on retiring after WrestleMania 36
“The Beast Incarnate” appeared on ‘The Michael Kay Show” and revealed that he did not see himself return to the ring after losing to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. Lesnar stated that his WWE contract was set to expire in 2020, and that he believed his career had come full circle when he performed in front of an empty arena at WrestleMania. But he came back to WWE due to the amount of money he was paid.

3. WWE doesn’t need another inactive champion
WWE cannot afford to lose momentum after the success of WrestleMania 38. They need a working champion to push the momentum forward. The WWE’s 30-day title defense rule did not apply to Brock Lesnar while he was the Universal Champion. World titles are supposed to be defended on premium live events and huge shows, but Lesnar was able to ignore this part of being champion owing to his star power and restricted contractual appearances.
4. More Opportunities for new main-event stars
Working part-time while winning world titles may add to Brock Lesnar’s mystique, but it might ultimately hurt the company. WWE hasn’t broadened its world championship scene or produced new stars during the time The Beast held the gold, and as a result, creative in the coming years will suffer.

Superstars like Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Big E should be given enough time and creative support so that they can establish themselves as regular main-event performers given how ‘over’ they are with the fans.
5. Losses could harm Brock Lesnar’s Mystique
Brock Lesnar has always been seen as the most dominant wrestler and champion the WWE has ever seen. He is known to destroy most opponents within minutes with the most minimal of efforts. Since Lesnar is entering his twilight years of his wrestling career, it would be foolish to see him lose over and over again. This would destroy his entire credibility as a performer.
However, if WWE decides to keep Brock Lesnar on TV for a while, his adaptability and mentorship could be used by WWE to boost the careers of younger and newer talent, which could include Gable Steveson.
