Nate Diaz has been missing from all of Nick Diaz’s appearances in the lead-up to UFC 266. It won’t be wrong to say that it’s quite unlike the Diaz brothers, who like to take their team, or the Nick Diaz Army whenever there is a fight. The likes of Kron Gracie, Gilbert Melendez, Jake Shields, Richard Perez were missing as Nick Diaz made his first appearance on UFC Embedded in the lead-up to UFC 266.

The absence of Nate Diaz has many fight fans wonder whether the younger Diaz will corner his elder brother ahead of his UFC return at UFC 266 against Robbie Lawler inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Who will corner Nick Diaz at UFC 266?
In the latest episode of UFC Embedded which dropped on September 22, Diaz is asked to confirm his teammates. Diaz confirms, Nick Maximov and his close friend Martin Sano Jr. as his teammates.

Diaz had earlier revealed that he will once again team up with Cesar Gracie in preparation for the fight, so it’s safe to say that Cesar Gracie will be in Diaz’s corner as he takes on Robbie Lawler at UFC 266. However, there is still no confirmation whether or not Nate Diaz will be present during the fight. Earlier, Nick Diaz was right beside the Octagon when his younger brother Nate Diaz took on Leon Edwards in a five-round featured bout at UFC 263.
Diaz was not able to corner his brother during Diaz’s fight against Conor McGregor back at UFC 196 and UFC 202. Nick was missing from Diaz’s fight against Jorge Masvidal back at UFC 244 but did make his presence felt during the face-off and pre-fight press conference.

Diaz was not allowed to corner his brother after being suspended by the NEVADA State Athletic Commission for testing positive for marijuana metabolite, and the pending trial in objection to the verdict.
In the past, Nate Diaz has cornered Nick Diaz almost thought out his entire MMA career. Nate was present alongside his brother when he fought Georges St-Pierre in one of the biggest PPV events of the year. Needless to say, despite Nate Diaz’s absence from Nick’s corner in the lead-up to the fight, it’s safe to say that he would be right around his brother’s corner on the fight day.
