Numerous renowned professional wrestlers have inspired the generations that followed with an equal measure of charm and fervor. Given that his son, Brian Pillman Jr., is equally talented as his father, Brian Pillman Sr. has undoubtedly cleared that tick. In the professional wrestling industry, Pillman has carved out a unique identity as a second-generation wrestler.
With a hint of his father’s flare, his fighting style, athleticism, and promotional skills are all excellent. He worked for several indie wrestling organizations and received training from Lance Storm. After joining MLW, Brian gained popularity inside the organization. He made his AEW debut back in 2019 and has been an active performer since then, up until this year.
Pillman’s AEW contract expired back in July, leaving the 30-year-old with a lot of options to choose from. It seems that Brian took the opportunity and signed a contract with WWE. The second-generation superstar has been teased repetitively during various vignettes on WWE NXT. While he may change the landscape of the Stamford-based promotion with his personality, it seems that he will be debuting with a new name.
PWInsider reports that Brian Pillman Jr won’t get to keep his name when arriving in due-time on #WWENXT.

As Pillman looks to take over NXT soon, he might have an in-ring change in his name. As per the report from PWInsider, he may be called Lexis King, a name that was recently trademarked by WWE. With his new persona and new ring name, we might see a different Pillman in WWE. While it is still not believed to be true, the name change might eventually happen in the case of Pillman.
When will Brian Pillman Jr. make his in-ring WWE debut?
After his ongoing vignettes each week, Pillman might make his in-ring debut on NXT soon. Pillman Jr. has a huge chip on his shoulders as a second-generation wrestler. His father has such a legacy that will always be unmatched. Though he will have a new name under his belt, Pillman will surely give off the same vibes and charisma, which will surely make him a must-watch.
Pillman won’t be the first wrestler to have his name changed while debuting for WWE. There have been various name changes over the years for the company. The most popular name change in recent times had to be Gunther, which was changed from his previous name Walter. Despite the hate from the fans, Gunther proved to be a dominant figure in WWE.
As much success he achieved in AEW, Brian Pillman Jr. will be looking to gain a new audience and make members of the WWE Universe worship his excellence. Only time will tell how the fans receive this new persona of Brian and how the company shapes up his debut.
