The Joe Rogan Experience has been a breeding ground for controversies. Many of the episodes have featured discussions that have caught the attention of the mainstream audience. Similarly, the recent episode of the popular podcast is stirring some controversy in the discussion about the US presidency. This episode featured famous actor and wrestler Dwayne Johnson, and they talked about a bunch of interesting topics.
Dwayne Johnson made his first-ever appearance on the JRE podcast in episode 2063. Furthermore, the seeds of this episode were planted back in 2022, when Johnson said that he would be “breaking out the tequila” with the podcast host.
Furthermore, the two cultural icons had in-depth discussions about the WWE, mixed martial arts, and even the Cybertruck. However, their discussion about the US presidency might have stirred some controversy.
Dwayne Johnson revokes his statement about the US president at JRE
Joe Rogan started the discussion by talking about the political environment when he was a child. “When I was a kid, you could have a Republican friend, it was no big deal. Like oh, Bobby likes George Bush, who cares? Who gives a f**k?” said the JRE host. Furthermore, The Rock was in agreement with the statement, made by Rogan. He then made his own statement which is causing some controversy.
“It’s the craziest thing. I have friends who support Trump. I have friends who support Biden,” said Johnson. However, before he can even complete his statement, he is cut off by Joe Rogan. The podcast host asked him if he really has friends who support Joe Biden. Surprisingly, this question led Dwayne Johnson to backtrack on his statement, which led to controversy.

The former WWE superstar thanked Joe Rogan for stopping and correcting him by saying that his friends support the Democratic Party, not a particular person. “This is important context…I have friends who are loyal to the party,” said Johnson. However, this statement is surprising since The Rock was one of the celebrities supporting Biden in the 2020 US presidential elections.
Furthermore, fans are furious at The Rock for his comments, and they have a lot to say about them. “Isn’t being loyal to the D Party the same thing as supporting him?” said an X user. Another fan said, “Then why did he endorse them?” while sharing the video of Johnson endorsing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Furthermore, Johnson went on to praise Biden for his incredible career and leadership skills. “You’ve led in my opinion with great compassion, heart, and drive but also soul,” said Dwayne Johnson.
Furthermore, in the video, Dwayne said that he had voted for both political parties in the past, and the 2020 election is very critical.

Furthermore, Johnson shared a very emotional video after the election results in which he congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris via an Instagram video. In this video, the movie star shared that he cried a few “manly tears” after hearing the news.
“My vote represented the importance of just being a decent human being. And to me being a decent human being matters,” wrote The Rock in the caption of his Instagram video. Furthermore, The Rock, who describes himself as a ‘centrist’ and ‘politically independent’, also showed support for people who voted for the opposition. He said that he wouldn’t turn his back on people just because of their different political beliefs.
