Colby Covington is looking in incredible shape in the latest training video that he has posted on his social media network. The former interim champion has been eyeing the UFC’s welterweight championship for quite some time now. Covington is coming off a TKO win over former champion Tyron Woodley and is pushing for a rematch against current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

However, it looks like it will be a while before we see Covington fight for the championship belt. The Nigerian Nightmare set to take on Jorge Masvidal in a rematch for the welterweight gold in the main event of UFC 262.
Be that as it may, ahead of his potential comeback to the Octagon, Covington is looking like a complete beast. The former title challenger has time and again proved that he is among the best in the welterweight division. Needless to say, looking at the intense training video, one can only imagine the improvement that Covington will show in his next fight.
It looks like Covington is putting in the work and hopefully, we can watch him compete again very soon. However, Covington is without an opponent right now and it will be interesting to see whether he will get a shot at the winner of Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal 2.
Who should Colby Covington fight next?
In the event that Covington does not get his hands at a title fight against the winner of Usman vs Masvidal, who should Covington fight next?
There are several options for Covington. Gilbert Burns called out Covington this past week, however, he also confirmed that Covington doesn’t want to fight him. Leon Edwards has called out Covington on multiple occasions as well.
If we look at the ranking, Edwards vs Covington makes the most sense. The match-up not only cements the next contender but gives an incredible opportunity to both the fighters to further cement their legacy in the welterweight division.
Colby Covington is looking in great shape. Fans haven’t seen the Chaos inside the Octagon for quite some time. Needless to say, we are all excited to see the MAGA step inside the Octagon once again. Looking at the current situation in the welterweight division, however, it looks like we will have to wait a little longer than we all thought.
