As for our two fighters, we have Jordan Leavitt, who is coming off a loss to Paddy Pimblett last year. After failing to derail Paddy’s hype train, Leavitt will look to get his own career back on track. Coming in after beating Jose Flores and earning a UFC contract, Jordan is currently 2-2 in the UFC.
Facing him, we’ll see another Contender Series graduate, Victor Martinez. A relatively unknown quantity, Martinez has collected wins in numerous fighting promotions. However, it remains to be seen whether he can establish himself in the big leagues or not. Expect a good fight out of these two on Saturday.

Leavitt vs Martinez: Fight Breakdown
Coming into this one, there is no clear favorite to win the fight. For the most part, both fighters possess the means to make the most out of each other’s weaknesses. Whilst Leavitt is favored on the ground with his wrestling and grappling, Martinez is the better striker of the two.
As for Leavitt, he has secured six of his seven finishes by way of submission. This is important as Martinez is known for giving up takedowns and does not protect himself well from submissions either. Should he do the same against the Monkey King, it will be a quick night in the office for him.

Similarly, The Brick has the better boxing out of the two and will be favored to dominate against Leavitt in a stand-up contest. With all 8 finishes throughout his career coming by way of KO/TKO, expect Victor to come in with a similar game plan for this fight as well.
With both fighters having very clear weaknesses, it will be interesting to watch which one of them will capitalize first. As such, any small mistake in this fight will have major consequences and could change the direction of the fight at any given time. However, we are picking Leavitt to close out this one.
