His opponent, ‘The Korean Zombie‘, last fought Alexander Volkanovski for the UFC featherweight title in April 2022, which he lost by unanimous decision. Recently, the fighter has acknowledged that he is towards the end of his career and would like to leave the sport on a high note and a win against a legend like Holloway would be a perfect way for the Zombie to bid adieu to the fight game.
The co-main event for the fight night in Singapore will be a light heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann. The main card will also witness Erin Blanchfield taking on Taila Santos in a women’s flyweight bout. So, overall, it is an exciting fight night, and the fans are up for a treat on August 26.
Which songs will Max Holloway and The Korean Zombie use for UFC Singapore?
Max Holloway likes to mix things up when it comes to his walk-out songs. When he fought with Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 276, the veteran fighter walked out to the classic songs ‘Running up that hill’ by Kate Bush and Hawaiian Kickboxer by Moke Boy. The latter is also Holloway’s most popular and often-used walk-out song.
When he was up against Dustin Poirier, the ‘Blessed’ tried to do something different and walked out to the popular rap song Walk It/Talk It by Migos. At UFC Singapore, Max’s walk-out song will be dedicated to the victims of the deadly fires in his native Hawaii. The fighter got emotional speaking about this at the UFC media event.
